About Us

Meet Our Seven Founding Committee Members

OCCA was founded by seven community professionals who share a single conviction: that people on the Central Coast deserve access to short, practical, and deeply effective wellbeing programs. Together, they bring decades of frontline experience across mental health, crisis support, welfare leadership, nursing, counselling, holistic healing and community service — and a collective commitment to making that support accessible to everyone.

Filiz Niyazi

President & Co-Founder

With over two decades serving the Central Coast across crisis support, counselling, clinical supervision, trauma-informed wellbeing training, and sound and light healing, Filiz founded OCCA from a deep conviction that people deserve far more than quick tips or coping strategies.

As a certified O&O Academy Trainer and Registered Mental Health Trainer, she brings a rare integration of Eastern and Western wellbeing philosophy — guiding people from stress and disconnection toward inner calm, clarity, and genuine community connection.

OCCA is the embodiment of that vision: not simply managing stress, but dissolving it at its source through mindful awareness, deep healing, and lasting inner transformation.
